Flew into Reno from San Jose Tuesday afternoon without incident and on a plane only half full. Wednesday at the show was like it used to be, ie; not too many people and easy to get around. Met with Marc Watts, Buzz Charlton and old friends from many African countries. Thursday was more crowded and I expect Fri & Sat will be more so. Visited with Craig Boddington and Mintyman is a no-show so far (big surprise, yes?). Spoke with Ivan Carter - he's gonna become a Daddy in June. Met with more old friends, examined the Sabatti 500NE DR (looked good to me). Everyone seems pleased with the bookings so far. Snowing as we departed. I did not buy a safari (yet) but may do a 2x1 tuskless with Buzz for this year. Did buy a return fishing trip to Alaska with Tim Berg. I fly home tomorrow. Let me know when you're coming up for the fishing trip. Brett DRSS Life Member SCI Life Member NRA Life Member WSF Rhyme of the Sheep Hunter May fordings never be too deep, And alders not too thick; May rock slides never be too steep And ridges not too slick. And may your bullets shoot as swell As Fred Bear's arrow's flew; And may your nose work just as well As Jack O'Connor's too. May winds be never at your tail When stalking down the steep; May bears be never on your trail When packing out your sheep. May the hundred pounds upon you Not make you break or trip; And may the plane in which you flew Await you at the strip. -Seth Peterson | |||
