I'll be in London a few days before Thanksgiving and was wondering if it's possible to visit H&H or WR or other gunmakers while there? Does anyone have contact info? Would I need to set this up beforehand?

Go online and get the addresses, and you will have a great time. Purdey, H&H, William Evans, and Boss are all in the west end, all in walking distance from one another. Watson is also a few miles away. You can just walk in and look around. Westley Richards is far, near Birmingham.

There's a threat about this over at http://www.nitroexpress.com and someone posted a link with ALL the London gunmakers listed with their addresses, which is very convenient.

You can go to their showrooms but, unless you're someone of influence (more likely in the gun industry) their manufacturing facilities are off limits.

I think the shop in the west end and where the workshop is are two different locations with the latter being just out of london. I went once and shot some clays at their range when I was a kid. I'm sure you could get a tour with a prior appointment.

Purdey was very helpful and showed me around their whole place for over an hour. I would recommend going there. H&H were not as friendly as Purdey was. Good Luck..Armbar
