I am going to South Africa in March -06,I am told they have 220 V power ,what is the power strip I hear others talk about and where can I buy 1.

We bought a kit that had every kind of adaptor that is made, three different ones, at a high end camera shop. I am sure that they can order one for you. Just tell them what you want to do and where you are going. It is a European 220 volt to USA 110 volt adaptor. There seems to be a dispute about how or where the big prong is on the outlet. That is why we bought the kit that had all of them in it. We did not want to get the wrong one and then not be able to charge up our recorders.

I have used this for charging with dual voltage electronics. It does not convert the voltage, but it will handle both 110 and 240.

Bought one from Radio Shack and have used it for years. Many online. If there are autos a 12V
