DSC Frontline Foundation, created to provide financial assistance to eligible PHs, outfitters, guides, and certain members of their staff who are injured or killed in the course of providing professional hunting services, is pleased to announce that it has made its first distribution (and will soon make another) in support of a PH injured in July in Mozambique. The recipient will tell his story in a separate post on this forum in the near future. I know he is grateful for the assistance.

This grant was possible only because of the generosity of donors from around the world, including many of you. The Foundation is also pleased to advise that it has received notification from the Internal Revenue Service that the Foundation's Application for tax exempt status under IRC Code Section 501(c)(3) has been approved and that donations to the Foundation from US citizens are tax deductible. The IRS ruling applies retroactively to donations to the Foundation made earlier this year.

If you wish to support the Foundation and this deserving cause, donations can be made by check (sent to the Foundation's address listed on the website - www.dscfrontlinefoundation.org) or online, using the "donate" feature on the Foundation's website. Everything helps and anything will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

Richard T. Cheatham

Orvar, thank you very much. I would like nothing else but to tell the Saturday evening DSC banquet attendees that the Foundation has raised $250,000.00 in its first 12 months. We're about 40% of the way there thanks to the kindness of many individuals, a few of the professional hunting associations and DSC.

On behalf of fellow AR posters and DSC Frontline Foundation Board members Dave Fulson and Karl Evans, thanks to all, and particularly Saeed and the AR admins who allow the Foundation to promote this cause.

I, too, would like to thank AR members for their support, whether it be financial or just letting us know we are doing the right thing. When the affected PH is able to post his story you will see that your generosity has made a huge difference in not only the PH's life but his family's as well. Thanks again, guys.

Karl

I second Karl's sentiments. DSC and our Frontline Foundation team are very grateful for the support shown by AR members, both financial and emotional. The men who will benefit from this Foundation and the assistance it will provide over the years are indeed fortunate to have the support of folks like you who recognize and appreciate the risks they accept in their profession.A large Thank You to all who have, and will in the future help with this effort!

There's a prime candidate in Fujo's thread...... without financial help he has very little chance to come through - that is unless the outfitter has /is taking care of it already.

Hopefully not too late!
