Hey guys - check that. There's a Lion!

Hey, stop - I want to take some photos for Grandma.

Hold it right there - I don't know this new camera that well. Hold still that tail will you!

Click! Click! That's neat ...

WTF! This is thing is coming for us ... I should have taken one of the inside seats!

WHAM! BANG! Oh shit ...

It wants to get in! What now?

Man, that was close!!

One swipe, one window in pieces.

The guide demonstrating the technique for keeping your underpants clean during a Lion attack. (Good tase in shoes!)

Fortunately, the Lion missed the door knob.

Imaginge what these would have done to your face!

The common denominator with the "Tyre chewing" post? It is another Land Rover ... Big Grin

These aren't recent photos having been posted here before and as I recall they had been following/chasing this lion for some time and distance taking photos when he decided to lay up in the patch of cover in the 1st photo. When the truck got close once again he'd had enough and decided to give them some real close-up pics.

Had that fool stuck his rubber laden feet in the face of the tire eating lions, he'd most likely been smiling from a hospital bed with two stubs! Big Grin

That pic of Shumba coming was enough to convince me that the only view I would want at that point is through a Kahles scope over a 375 H&H -let me correct the caliber and make it a recoilless rifle! Smiler

Go to:

for the real story behind this charge. The lion made one oryx kill after this incident but succumbed to his injuries soon after.
