As the booking season starts to wane , several folks have decided to roll over their permits , change dates or cannot make it this season ..

I very seldom advertise hunts on here but this is the exception as I believe there is some great opportunity here …

You all know just how passionate I am about hunting elephant and I have to say these areas have some excellent populations and excellent averages .

Johan Calitz safaris sells in excess of 100 elephant bulls and at the end of the safari shows there wasn’t a single permit left available in any of his areas which is tribute and testimony to the excellent camps he runs , the excellent areas he has and the excellent quality of elephants that he regularly takes out of his concessions ..

Last year in fact I hunted four bulls back to back and at the end of just one month , giving us an average of 7 and a half days per bull we had shot almost 500 pounds of ivory that included a big single tusker had he had two tusks it would have been more like 560 pounds !!!

I have hunted lots and lots of elephant areas all over Africa and I have to say that there is simply nowhere where there is the quality and quantity of elephants that these areas have. Its always a highlight for me to hunt in the areas.

Well the great news for some of you out there is that there are several permits that have just become available in the last couple of weeks ,
