Gentlemen:

I am passing this on from a very good PH that I hunted with in the Omay back in 2006. His name is Craig Robinson, based in Bulawayo, and altho he was freelancing for another company for my hunt, he has his own operation called Sango Safaris. Craig is an excellent PH whom I got on very well with and took a very nice(39") buff while hunting with him. Had I of had a scoped rifle instead of my double with open sites, I could have taken one that went over 40".
This all said, Craig and I have kept in touch via e-mail the last couple of years and he just e-mailed me today and says that he just came about having 6 more buffs on quota for 2008. Unfortunately I have been booked with the DuPlooys in Zambia for quite some time and can't do 2 trips...well I can, but I like married life as it is! The prices on these hunts, 7-10 days (10 days being max) are priced VERY well. He quoted me at $9500 inclusive of daily rates and trophy fee. What all else is required, you would need to e-mail Craig at sangosaf@mweb.co.zw. Tell him Gary passed on the info to you.
Craig is a small, but very good, operation and I can highly recommend him. When I was with him, his tracker, Willy, was a younger gent but a lot of fun to hunt with...and very good.

Don't know the areas or anything else at this time, but I have e-mailed him back asking same.

I think it's a great opportunity for someone who isn't booked and/or can prepare quickly....unfortunately I can go.

You can PM me with any ??? about Craig and I will help if I can.

Gary Sounds like he is hunting one of the HHK areas they seem to be $1000 more than most in that area. That said I got a nice 37" for my first buff in the Omay last year in Butch Walkers area which has been taken over by Martin P

Dear Garby,
Craigh told me to be just 5 hunting days and area being south east Zimbabwe, so don´t think will be HHK area.
I had offer for Tanzania last month 10 days 1x1 8500$ all included except trasportation, so I don´t think paying higher daily rates for Zim in this moment make any sense.
Is just my opinion.

regards

That is really a very good offer! From whom did you get it?

Because some of you asked over this offer I have to tell you it seems that is still open dates from september to dicember, being october the best month for Buff in the area.
Area is Mahenge South, Selous, Tanzania.
Prices as I told you 8500$ including 1 Buff, the main problem here is transportation.
Cost is 4000$ round tryp, so the best thing to do is form a group of 3-4 hunters to share cost.
Additional animals are only Hartebeest (650 $), Impala (390 $), Warthog (450 $), Wildbeast (650 $) y Zebra (1.200 $).
Hope it will help.

Best regards.
