some of the most enduring memories of African safaris we have are of those wonderful evenings under a starlit sky sitting around the African TV.
Let's see 'em!!

GraftonGreat photos. It is apparent that dogs like a good fire as much as people. here is old Rigby enjoying our backyard pit. Not Africa, but you can bet we are thinking about it!

HonkeyGrafton,
That is a great picture. I love the fact you have a African fire pit in Virginia, it make my one in Maine seem a little less silly!! HA HA HA

BlankWatching bush TV is always fun, no matter where you are. Sharing campfires with new friends is special, and part ofthe enjoyment of the safari. Below is my favorite, tho.
My friends left my wife and I up on a rocky kopje in Namibia with instructions to enjoy the sunset on our anniversary. This was what they left us to:
It was where my PH proposed to his wife, and it was pretty special.

Every morning the Zebra wakes up knowing it must outrun the fastest Lion if it wants to stay alive. Every morning the Lion wakes up knowing it must outrun the slowest Zebra or it will starve. It makes no difference if you are a Zebra or a Lion; when the Sun comes up in Africa, you must wake up running......
"If you're being chased by a Lion, you don't have to be faster than the Lion, you just have to be faster than the person next to you."
