Taken three days ago in Cameroon

Sadly this hunt will be gone within a few years. We still have a couple of spots for next year, 1 for this year.

Just curious.

Why is this hunt going away? Poaching Encroachment...?

Cameroon is the only place left where you can hunt them. The region has terrorism problems which could get worse, cattle encroachment BIG time, poaching to a lesser degree, deforestation.

I REALLY hope I am wrong.

Beautiful bull!

On the plains of hesitation lie the bleached bones of ten thousand, who on the dawn of victory lay down their weary heads resting, and there resting, died.

Or walk with Kings - nor lose the common touch...
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And - which is more - you'll be a Man, my son!

I would say Jan to about Mid March, after that they start losing the long dark neck hair. Keep in mind some bulls are darker than others.

Great trophy. I assume that is a Lord Derby??

I understand they are really good eating.

Congratulation on having a great fair chase hunt in such an exotic location.
