What I get from this thread is that the main object is to get back to Africa period no matter the season, duration of hunt or animals pursued. It is an addiction but who cares and what a lovely addiction. Drugs might be cheaper but.........

People who have never been will never understand.

As usual you nailed it Mark thumb

208 days till my first Buff hunt in Zimbabwe with Ron Oliver. I will be hunting in Matetsi unit 5 for Buff, Sable, and Waterbuck. It still seems like a dream!

I don't start counting until I hit the 100 day mark. It's just to painful.

I have a few choices in mind for the next one.

JP Kleinhans or Shell Drake ranch...... 2010?

Hopefully 2010?

Maybe a double header for another part of the country as well. Nice thing about Kleinhans is it is Natal.

Would really love to hunt the Peter Flack place, but not horribly interested in using a native PH. Think camp life will miss something.

Unfortunately, we canceled a Zimbabwe hunt this summer 2008, Kazuma Pan area.

The good news is that we booked a Leopard, Buff, Sable & Nyala hunt for
August 2009 in Mozambique. So I only have to wait 529 long & agonizing days
to return to Africa.

Only 15 months until I'm off to Tanzania. Guess I'll have enough time to get good enough with my double to give Annie Oakley a run for her money.
