What software do you use to record your firearms collection. Where can you purchase it online.

I use GunTracker 2.4 from www.bangzoom.com. It was around $35 I think.

I just use the Microsoft Excel spreadsheet program. I made a simple database in the spreadsheet. Excel has basic database functions like data sorting, etc. With the spreadsheet, I can create any fields that I want in the database. Using a spreadsheet gives you a lot of flexibility versus what someone else programmed (meaning you're stuck with the way they made the program work). Also, I find using the spreadsheet program, for this purpose, simpler than using a database program such as Microsoft Access.

Just my 2 cents....

I've used "Organize! your Collection" from HomeCraft Software for years, and it can be set up with your own criteria to monitor your guns, records, books, stamps, etc.
It even has provision for photos, etc.
Think they still have a website, used to be based in Oregon.

I like Bob, just used an XL spread sheet and I added photos.
Very simple, updates easily and all you need is XL to recall it.
