Nick Makinson was in Canada at one time. He refinished a double rifle for me years ago and did a good job.


You can borrow money but you can not borrow time. Go hunting with your family.

Nick Makinson (when he lived near London Ontario Canada) did some work for me (resoldering & "reblacking" a Winchester 101's shotgun barrels and ribs.

Very nice guy, great workmanship!

The other stuff in his shop really made me drool, I can tell you!

I would not hesitate to deal with him again.

Connie Brooks makes mention of Markinson in the most recent Barnes Reloading Manual (see 500 Nitro Load Data Page)...and that Barnes, at that time, made the actions for these DR...I think she used a Markinson 500 NE on the hunt described in the Manual.
