I can never understand why you have to be told to shoot again when the animal is still standing or better still, getting up?

Absolutely beautiful! Great figure, very pretty. The gal is nice looking too.

There are men on this forum who bitch and moan about how bad a .470 kicks. Whenever they do, we should show them this video.

Three cheers for this gal! Her hunt was a lot more smooth and well executed than a lot of them I've seen, in case anyone starts to throw shit her way.

Oh, to be good looking. Could have had a rich wife and a Holland and Holland 500/465! Smiler

And somewhere along the line she got her sleeves ripped off!

Now that is my kind of broad!

Badly placed first shot, Bill clap

Now if she was using a bolt action with a scope, it would have been a different matter clap

Awesome hunt. They got very close to that buffalo for the first shot. If it had been me, the scary thing would've been the little canoe and the wading to get to it. Crocodiles scare me more than buffalo.

Another scary thing was the way she kept pointing that rifle at Jeff.

Into my heart on air that kills
From yon far country blows:
What are those blue remembered hills,
What spires, what farms are those?

I see it shining plain,
The happy highways where I went
And cannot come again.

She chose the right rifle, but she needs to use a quality soft point for the first shot, and to work on where the rifle is to be pointed. Eeker

I like hunting in that tsaro, and grass for buffalo. Great way to hunt buff! thumb

Last year I hunted elephant and hippo in Kasika with Fulton Classic Safaris and I have to agree with what others here have posted. I felt most endangered when I was sitting in the bottom of those little (boats)mokorros.

I spent a lot of cold mornings in a pirogue getting in and out of duck haunts but all we had to worry about then was a good soaking. When you know without doubt that you are among hippos and crocs it is a whole nother ball game. Smiler

This video must be several years (maybe 10-15) years old. Jeff looks awfully young in the video. May also explain the "solids" on first shot as this was more common "back then".

Agree on the point that the majority of her aiming was at Jeff's backside. The most dangerous thing in Africa? A nervous client behind you who not having any idea of where the rifle was pointing. I would not want that video playing anywhere if I were her. Nice buff and big gun aside, a really reckless"huntress'

I think that's a requirement when you hunt with Jeff Rann. No sleeves, no problem! Big Grin

Dave - You would know better than most I think. Would camera angles make what seems to be dangerous gun pointing not nearly as bad has is preceived? Just curious as distances to subject can be a little confusing, line of sight difference in camerman and shooter as to clear path to target can be different, etc. Thanks.

Just a few questions. Did Jeff have plastic surgery to look younger and grow a moustache? Did he pick out her shirt? How come the title of this video is about hunting a Water buffalo? Just wondering.

Rhyme of the Sheep Hunter
May fordings never be too deep, And alders not too thick; May rock slides never be too steep And ridges not too slick.
And may your bullets shoot as swell As Fred Bear's arrow's flew; And may your nose work just as well As Jack O'Connor's too.
May winds be never at your tail When stalking down the steep; May bears be never on your trail When packing out your sheep.
May the hundred pounds upon you Not make you break or trip; And may the plane in which you flew Await you at the strip.

Larry,
Good point, but she's swinging it back and forth across his butt on the follow up-the most likley time to get shot as the client ,her, you,me whoever, is on high alert and amped up and may be looking under bushes instead of where the gun is pointing.
I hate beink pickey, as it is not my nature, but I'v seen lot's of unsafe clients over the years ,around the world, and it just really popped out on the video that she was not paying attention.
Cheers

Gentlemen ,i dont want to be hard with this lady ,but after killing and guiding hundres of water buffalos-not so agressive as cape buffalos-in similar enviroment ,and experimenting some intersting charges some with members of AR -SGRAVES-was one i believe and agreed with Saeed ,that the first shot was bad ,the rifle pointed the PH several times, and when the buffalo looks at you you must continue shooting ,and we return to wht i recommend take a good course at gunsite or better with GANYANA before the safari.
A good rifle shooter must shoot at least 100 shells a week with good learned techniques ,in the case of a double we began with a double 12 shotgun and after hundres of shells go to the rifle.Sorry but this is what i believe.Juan

I've seen lots of videos where the client keeps pointing his rifle at the PH's back. Quite common.

So the lady made a bad shot, happens to everybody.

I sure as hell wouldn't mind going on safari with her, or Cindy for that matter. dancing
