Here's an interesting story for all of you to consider. Last night at a high graduation party for my graduating son and some of his friends, I had the opportunity to talk with his high school choir teacher. The teacher, who is black, is relatively new. Very nice fellow, who my son introduced me and my wife to and told him that we were going to Africa next week for a hunting Safari. He became very interested and asked where we were going. I told him South Africa, but told him that I would have liked to have gone to Zimbabwe, except for the antics and shenanigans of Uncle Bob and his wife Grace. I then went on to lecture him about Mugabe and Zimbabwe, thinking I had a sypathetic listening ear. Come to find out, his mother is Mugabe's neice!!!,(out of the loins of the same polygamus progenitor) and still lives outside of Harare. He then went on to explain to me that he is Shona, like old Bob, and that he has to have a bodyguard when visitng his mother and the homeland. His mother met his father at Mississipi State while the two of them were in college, his father being from Louisiana (part black, creole and indian). He holds dual citizenship in Zimbabwe and the U.S. He spoke highly of his great-uncle, which shows you that blood is much thicker than water. We had a member of the U.S. House of Representatives there at the party and he was flabbergasted at the teacher's attitude about Zimbabwe. Anyway, just when you think that it is safe to . . . .And of all places, here in Las Vegas, Nevada. I don't think anyone can top that one.

That is interesting to say the least.

In defence of the chap I guess none of us can pick our relatives let alone our parents ...

BUT it just highlights how circumspect we need to all be when talking (out loud) in a public forum ....

Well I guess I better run now as the AR Police are hot on my trail Eeker ...

Great story that Red Face

Someone should sign him up to receive news updates from ZWNEWS or the Sokwanele Newsletter so he can find out what is really going on in Zimbabwe.

Mind you, I find it hard to believe that anyone living in the west can be totally ignorant about the truth in Zim, .... not unless they want to be ignorant.

Concidering how much money Mugabe has stolen over the years, his age and the fact that his wife is half his age.I would speak highly of him if I was any kin to him as well!

His blood must be so thick that not much passes thru his brain, thus depriving it of oxygen, and therefore affecting his ability to think clearly...

I must agree with you 100% ... it always amazes me how so called Diplomats are able to use the darker than dark sunglasses when it suits them to do so.

Its a tribal thing. The African ruling classes have always been (mostly) indifferent to the true welfare of their lowly citizens.

You can pick your nose, you can pick your seats, but you cannot pick your relitives..

Something can be said on his part for loyalty to his family...I respect that, it would have been easy for him to disavow any connection to Muagabe...at which point you should have shot him! sofa jump
