Add KLM to the list of airlines that refuse to transport hunting trophies. Puts em right up there with AIR CANADA, BA, and Lufthansa. All of these airlines have refused to transport our hunting trophy shipments.

Rich

If you'd like email me at shakari3@mweb.co.za with details of who, how & why BA refused your trophies I'll forward it to a few people to see what they can do about the situation because it isn't company policy.

It may not be long before all of us are considered as undesirable as well.

And some of them, like Delta Airlines, charge $200 just to transport your antlers back with you. What a flippin' ripoff! thumbdown

Had a buddy, day before yesterday, refused to allow his Lab on a flight from Chicago to Regina. This is after he had gone and bought a new travel crate for his dog before leaving ATL to meet the airlines specs....their Commuter Link to Regina had different specs.....had to rent a car in CHI and find a pet store that had a smaller crate that would fit....same size as he was told was too small for his Lab's "comfort" when flying out of ATL.....drive, walk or swim if you can!!!

I flew back on Air Canada yesterday from BC with moose antlers. Air canada allowed me to bring them, but they hit me for $100 for extra bag and $150 just because they were antlers. I got in an argument with the ticket agent (and of course I lost) and told her to pick a charge, but not double up. She got nasty. They also of course charged $50 each way for my gun.

That was for 1 45 minute flight. Then I had to pay Delta another $200 for the antlers to come on home, and I was 1st class, am platinum medallion, and am allowed 3 bags to 70 pounds.

They are all ripping us at every opportunity. The Air Canada girl told me she deals with "20 of you people" (meaning hunters) a day. Wonder who is supporting her salary in Prince George BC?

Good Hunting,
