The city is a sh*t hole. Even if it's raining I take the "longcut" through the park from Jomo Kenyatta to Karen. It gets a bit tricky sometimes but it is well worth it in order to avoid even the very edge of town from the stadium to Wilson.
Have managed to keep out of the city since 1995 and I do not intend ever going back in there. Those pictures make me rather sad.

At least St Mary's Church has not changed and it is always beautifully tended. I pass it sometimes if we need fuel when taking the quad bikes down into the Rift from Karen to Naivasha via Suswa and Longonot. Now that's a trip to take your mind off Nairobi.

Thanks for the link. Hope when all the wildlife is gone Kenya will reverse course, get her game back and hunt again. Doubt it will ever happen tho.

It could but only if the politicians and bureaucrats were going to make lots of money out of it.
