Got back from 10 days in Kenya traveling across several different areas and camps. The migration is on and I must admit that I was not prepared for the spectacle! Truly one of the world's greatest natural wonders. Of course, the hunter in me exhibited itself a time or two... hence the buffalo pix.

Doc,
Wish I would have known you were there... the first Tusker at the Serena bar would have been on me!
S2,
Not a large number of buff becase it is very open. Most of the buff were in the brush around the rivers or close to the hills. Again, some elephant but not a large number.

I'll bet you saw some dandy E.A Impala, Topi and Tommies!

Did you go to Tsavo or Lapikipa (spelling?)?

Fantastic Russell, I bet you guys had a great time. I would love to hear/learn all about it, and of course you probably have hundreds more neat pictures.

I just got back from a trip to Costa Rica with the family, we had some marvelous long hikes in the rain forest and along the coast. Part of the fun was discovering things with just enough info from the various travel sites and forums, but I kept wishing I had a few detailed reports from like-minded individuals from AR to leverage. I think a "Travel Forum" might be really cool.

If I don't chat with you prior, please have a safe and successful hunt next month. The swamp is going to be a unique experience, and I can't wait to hear all about it!

Thanks Bill. I have always wanted to visit Costa Rica! Just the right mix of things to do with the family and some light tackle fishing to keep Poppa happy.

I agree, a Travel Forum would be welcome... maybe you could be the moderator!

Looking forward to Moz. We leave on the 19th. Wish you were coming with us!

The impala were HUGE! We visited the Mt. Kenya Safari Club for a few days and did a couple of game drives out of Nanyuki on a property called Sweetwater. Then a charter to the Fairmont Mara Safari Lodge. I will try and post some of the big tommies, grants and topi we saw a little later.

BwanaJay and I are headed over to hunt with the Haldane's Zambeze Delta Safaris next month. Buff in the Marromeau Swamps... should be fun! We thought we had Bill on board at one time but he had other pressing matters.
