I have used this several times on past hunts with excellent results. I reload now and shot up what Federal HE I had but wouldn't hesitate to use it again.

I have used it locally for elk, based on that I wouldn't hesitate to use it for all Plainsgame, I would hesitate to use it for buffalo for no good reason, other than I had loaded up enough DG loads to last 10 lifetimes, sold most off along with my H&H and my Ruger..

Try it on buffalo and load your gun with solids and a HE on top..Thats the only way you will really know..

Standard off the shelf Norma 350gr Woodleigh Softs are probably the best performing 375 rounds on the market for DG today.

Way back when I used it on a cat hunt. As I recall, I shot a buffalo and a slug of plains game with it.

I didn't think it worked any better or worse than the .375 TSX load that Federal had at the time, and as I didn't get a crack at a cat, the purpose of using it (higher velocity for shock effect on leopard) wasn't examined.

I subsequently shot a bunch of cats with .375 and .416 loads using TSX, and they all died quickly based on where they were hit, so I did not keep on with it.

One thing I did like was that Federal loaded the stuff in brass cases instead of the nickel plated ones the rest of their premium ammo was in.

Frankly, the 150 FPS difference that I chrono'd out of my rifle didn't strike me as that big of a deal.

While I used it, I really didn't see the added value of it over their standard load in retrospect... a 300 grain .375 at 2500 does all it needs to do.

I used it as well and shot African game with it. Not sure that it was any more effective than the regular 375 H&H ammo.
