Hi Guys, Seeing as i posted the year end specials(https://forums.accuratereloading.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/832100588/m/8721085911) that have all been sold and the last hunt is currently being wrapped up i thought i would post some information and photographs of the camp. We have rebuilt Sengwe 1 camp in South East Zimbabwe, we have the hunting rights to Sengwe 1. I am a director in the Zimbabwean company, Pelandaba Safaris, the hunting area is roughly 300 000ha and is managed as a campfire / communal area. Camp overlooks the Limpopo river on the Northern Border of South Africa and Zimbabwe and runs along the Kruger National Park boundary from the Bubi River to just before Crooks corner where South Africa, Zimbabwe and Mozambique meet. Camp is comprised of a luxury safari tent for the clients accommodations as well as various out buildings including outside ablution facilities, kitchen, lounge and dining area. All food and service that is provided is of top quality and is prepared in camp by our five start chef. Oh and coffee will be served either from a pot of boiling water with a handful of beans in it or a french press - thanks to the AR guys who commented on my coffee poll. The area is known for its outstanding Elephant, Buffalo, Kudu, Nyala as well as huge leopard and lion that are available from end of August. The area offers hunters the rare opportunity at a shot at some of the truly big trophies in the above from 90 plus pounder elephant that have been hunted there and are often seen in the area to buffalo of 46” that have been taken to 63” Kudu that have also been hunted there. The camp itself have been built on old Elephant migration routes and it is not unfamiliar for elephant to walk right through camp! The hunting is conducted by Paul Phelan and local Ph Ishmael Shabalala who between the two of them have over 50 years of hunting experience, both are fully licensed and qualified with the relevant Authorities. Hi Guys, Here is a photo of a nice 42" buff bull that was hunted this week. i am waiting for the other photos of the 4 other buff that were hunted to come through to me and will post them then. - just trying to get clients permission to post. First shot was a full frontal shot and the coup da grace was with the 500 which put an end to the animal. this bull was shot out of a group of 15 bulls, of which there was a 48" bull in there but still green / young, so he will fall to my rifle in a few years time. 5 days were spent out in the bush for this hunt. Impala, Kudu, Bushbuck, Nyala, Leopard(young female), Elephant and Eland were all seen on the hunt. | |||
