Good day to all.
I am newly registered on this forum after following it for some time before joining and would like to introduce myself.
I am a full time PH for the past 20 years with Askari-Adventures.
We hold concessions in SA, Zimbabwe, Zambia and Mozambique.
I hope to join in all the great discussions that this forum provides.
Cheers

Welcome.

I just joined myself a couple days ago and I also followed along for a while.

I think you will find this group to be quite classy when it comes to advice.

Welcome Fritz,

You will no doubt get good advice when asked here. You will also get good advice when not evev asked for! The wonderful thing about this, and really any other discussion forum, is that you'll also get some bad advice, asked for or not!

As with most things in life: If you make good inputs on aspects that you have first hand knowledge about, you will also get a lot from the forum. By and large AR forum is tu2a good place to be!

In good hunting.

I see that there is a lot of fighting on this forum about South African Operators advertizing in other countries especially in Zim.

Before anyone starts to throw mud my way I would like to ad that anyone is welcome to check our credentials in any of the countries that we conduct safari's.

We have to much at stake to be under-cover.
We are members of:
PHASA, IPHA, DSC and SCI.
We have been in business for 25 years and can prove that we are a legal and legit company.
We only use registered PH's in all of our areas.
Any person that wants the proof is welcome to contact me or Paul Ferreira the owner of Askari-Adventures.
Thank you.

Fritz: One of the things I appreciate so much about these forums is the number of PHs and other folks who actually live in Africa who post here.
Welcome.

Thank you Bill.
Even though we live in a dark continent, we have to be current with everything so as to be professional in our field.
That is what makes these forums great.

Fritz, We have no problems with South Africans advertising hunts in Zimbabwe as long as it is all legal and above board and a Registered Zim PH is present on the hunt.
As I am sure you will understand we all enjoy hunting in our own countries and would like to protect what we have and make sure that all clients visiting Zim have a great experience and don't end up on the short end of the stick.
Regards,

I do appreciate what you say Ross.
We have a hell of a time here to clean up our act in SA. It saddens me to say that there are a lot of no-good useless guys here and elsewhere. It is a slow fight but we shall not get tired.

I am more into the bow-hunting and there is a big problem with Outfitters advertising bow-hunts and their PH's have no clue how to conduct it.

I think that the more we join hands, the stronger and better we shall be.
Regards

Fritz,

Did you have a PH called Fisher from Nchila take a Lion in your concession late this year?

Welcome.

Good day fairgame.
If you refer to our Zambia area I can not give you the answer now. I have not been on all the hunts there as we have a lot of work on our other areas as well and I do most of the bow-hunts.
Our permanent PH in Namwala and Nkala is Werner van Noordwyk. I shall have a look in our records and see if we used a PH with that name.

Normally we hunt the big cats early in the year as it becomes more difficult as the season gets longer.
Regards

Fritz,

Welkom op AR!

Guys and girls, for everyone that do not know, Fritz is one of our Bow hunting "heavy weights" in South Africa, and is one of very few PH's in our country that have the experience to guide DG bow hunts.

He is in good standing with our organisations, and I for one have not heard any negative rumours about him. He writes on a regular basis for our Bow Hunter magazine, and I must say I enjoy his stories a lot.

Fritz, good luck here, there is a ton of advice and it is a fantastic place for networking. I have made some good friends for life here, and also a few "non friends". When offering hunts, remember to read Saeeds rules about posting!

Regards to Paulie!
