You're one I never figured to lower your standards to this repugnant level. Why even say anything? Disappointed in this forums inability to just ignore George and lower the entire bar.

At some point it is just too much. No matter how Roland agreed with shootaway, shootaway just had to keep pissing on Roland's work.

I defended George on the cow thread when guys were piling on. Now the next post of his I read is him repeatedly attacking someone without reason?!

A guy who has been very generous with retouching AR member's photos and is now running a fledgling business should not have to put up with AR's village idiot.

George was frustrating when he was simply a nitwit but recently he has taken to aiming his garbage at men who are trying to make a living at what they are doing(Roland and Blake).

Yes, I understand that George is mentally ill, but I simply have no use for him and his classless personal attacks.

And I have to wonder if my quip didn't bother you a bit more due to the fact that anyone can guess that George was a burden to his family long before he was a burden to AR.

My quip was in reference to the fact that George is the type of person who is such an unmitigated jerk that even his own father would have detested him.

Nothing anyone has posted here on AR has ever fazed George(that is clear if you have read his postings) and I wouldn't wish George any harm but I do wish he would drop the attacks or go away.

Jason,
If no-one respond to anything he said, he would stop. Most of the posters that respond to George are better than the way they are taunting him just to get another post out of him.

I don't say this in defense of George as much as I hate to see this forum full of Gentlemen, involved in the grandest sport mankind has ever engaged in, acting like this.

wrong, because Gorge is a narcisistic personality who lives in a dream world of his own creation. he has no clue that people think he is an idiot and could frankly care less. as far as he is concerned, WE are the idiots and HE is the enlightened one. this same saga has been going on for years with no indication that the Montreal Moron has ever seen any culpability on his part....stupid is as stupid does.

Well said. Nothing I could say would make one bit of difference to George. He lives in his own world.

Steve

I defense of myself I was feeling a bit duped after sticking up for the Montreal Moron. -It is similar to when you stick up for some dork in grade school when he is being bullied. Then the next day you come around the corner and find him taunting his abusers and again bringing their wrath upon himself.

So yeah, unbecoming behavior on my part..... Whatever, George is a worthless waste of space.

Maybe you could read some of his past posts and find out why is incites such ire.

I go along with Nganga on this, saw it happen on other sites. Shootaway may be a real great person to those in his normal socio-economic circle.

On here, he learned a long time ago that he come post any kind of bait he can come up with and some of us or several of us will grab the bait and run with it.

Plain and simple completely ignore him by whatever means you choose and when he stops getting the attention he is looking for, for a long enough period of time, he will stop.

He will not last long if the only folks that respond to him do so in anything less than an adversarial manner. Just my opinion, but the concept of someone trying to point out how messed up he is, is the very thing he is looking for, because of his own belief in his superiority over others.

I have followed along for the last couple weeks. He does provoke. My point is, just ignore the guy. It's like road rage, just ignore the overly aggressive douche and forget about it. Move along. You're to articulate, intelligent to allow George to get to you.

Essentially you are allowing George to control how you act.

Maybe you need to go back and look at THIS THREAD. Roland's every reply toward George was in agreement with him. When George didn't get the response he wanted each time he ramped up his attack. That really bothered me.

The world has more than enough jerks. We all disagree and hash stuff out here, but guys like George are like a cancer. They simply have no positive effect.

I simply and honestly wish guys like George would cease to exist. I would bet money that his own father felt the same way.

Hi Jason,
Not to belabor the point, but even Roland was taunting George. "Darlin" "Sweet" ?????

Again, not sticking up for George but showing examples of the senseless taunting that fuels George's next response.

It probably bothered a lot of folks. As you pointed out however, even though he was being responded to in a reasonable manner, he went on the offensive. People respond to him negatively, he goes on the offensive. It does not matter how anyone responds to him, good/bad/otherwise, he still believes that he is the only one that actually knows anything. From what I have seen, that is not going to change.

I feel that the only way things will change is if people will simply not even read his posts or responses, just let the conversations die.

Evidently he craves the attention and is willing to do whatever he feels is necessary to get it. When any of us give him that attention it only encourages him. Again, JMO.

Knowing his history here and his ways...and often embittered by him getting crapped upon nevertheless...I handled him in the least harmful/most effective way I knew how for his benefit not mine...it was calculated and within a few posts I neutralized him and let him know he wasn't going any place with me...it took less than 1 page not 8 to let George know all is good by me Wink

In fact only 5 posts and he was gone and HAPPY Big Grin

Like I said...George is easy-peasy Smiler

If you feel otherwise that's your perogative tu2

You are correct. In fact Roland mentioned the cow buffalo before things really got rolling.

But George's attacks go back a long way. I can't forget MJines posting a Duane Weibe rifle and George posting "It could be better."

Maybe you and crazyhorse are right: "each negative posting inflates George's ego."

So I will bow out with this: George please make the world a better place and put a 458 Lott solid through the back of your skull.

I bet he'll feel like the King of the world after reading that....

``it could get better`` was not an attack on his rifle-just the opposite. It meant that it was seen as a very nice rifle and that it brought on a challenge. So,it was like -gee that is a very nice rifle and you just challenged me to make mine as nice or better! I even showed a picture of the rifle to Ralf.
