Everything is packed except for the guns. I leave tues. for my son's house, and we are outta here Wed. for Atlanta to Joberg. Overnite at Afton, then up to Bulawayo. We are hunting with Martin Pieters Safaris. We are going to the Omay North for tuskless ele, hippo, and a pair of cow cape buffs. Really looking forward to the trip, and a chance to hunt with my son, 2x1 the whole time. If we're lucky, and tag out early, I hope we can do some tiger fishing on lake Kariba. We are both taking 375 H&H mags. Wish us luck.

Good luck! I missed meeting you and your son by a few weeks at Cruiser's in 2008. This Zim trip is what I'd like to do with my boys when they are old enough to handle a .375.
I'm really interested in booking with Martin Pieters, looking forward to an awesome report!

Best of luck to you and your son. I'll be in Chewore South in 7 weeks, introducing some Ele to the the CEB #13 from my .458Lott. I expect outstanding results.

Buena suerte Mike! I know you and your son are set for a great adventure with Mart and the gang. Look forward to your report when you get back... with elephant on the menu I am betting Ume Camp.

Good hunting. My son and I just got back from the Ume camp last night. You should have no trouble finding hippo to shoot at and there seemed to be lots of elephant down at the lakeshore.

Well if you're at Ume the camp manager, Mike and waiter there Luthon(?) will take good care of you.

If you hunt with Pierre, Farunga and Steve you'll be happy.

Tell them all I said "Hi", please.
