The make has been mentioned several times and I have failed to write it down each time!Cleaning rod with elastic down the middle, kind of like a tent pole I guess. Anyone know?
Thanks, Peter.

Rapid-rod is the brand I have, but there's a metal cable down the center, not elastic.

Rapid Rods are great, and come in handy in the field quite often.

I run a Boresnake in my guns. Three to four passes and clean as a whistle.

I use Boresnakes as well on all my rifles. Lightweight and packs up really small. Great to have in your pocket when in the field.

I carry the RR in the field in case of an obstruction, and have the bore snake in camp if I need a quick cleaning. You know like belt and braces. Big Grin

Thank you gentlemen. Exactly what I needed. I was aware of the boresnake solution, but was more concerned with barrel obstructions, as was previously mentioned.

The Rapid Rod is the best one..I carry a Rapid Rod on my cartridge belt to clear out a plugged up barrel etc..Try that with a bore snake! killpc

I also take a Bore Snake to run through my gun in the evenings, particularly in Tanzania or anywhere it might be humid..I use very little if any oil so as not to change the POI on the shot...

I carry the rapid rod and it is on my website www.huntersheadquarters.net
I found it was not long enough when cleaning some rifles from he rear so I have the factory put in one extra lenght of rod in the ones I sell. Works for long bbl. guns be they rifles or shotguns.
Great item.

Harry, BINGO! I looked at the original link above and noticed that the thing was only 26" long. In fact I logged back on to ask if other folks had been handicapped by this length, and I saw your post. IMHO 26" is not long enough for a normal bolt action rifle. So, I will certainly investigate your web site.
Thanks, Peter.
