One of our baby cheetahs wasn't too impressed when I tried to get very close to him with a wide angle camera.

Nice photos. My daughter Elzet is doing her practical year in nature concervation at the de Wildt Cheetah Centre.I had a couple of good laughs when she fed the cubs, they can get very aggresive at times. She also have a cheetah that is permanently in the hospital that she feeds every day. It is unbelievable how the two of them have bonded. They are great animals. I was nice of you to show us what a guinea looks like as when the cheetah gets a bit older and bolder, the guineas will be looking for somewhere else to live...

Nice. Maybe you could give Walter an older camera and ask him to get the same photo of the crocs...make sure he's brought back everything he's borrowed first! _______________________________

Saeed I assume the guinea fowls are tame as the coloration is normally a trait that comes about by cross breeding with domestic fowl I maybe wrong but I have never seen that sort of coloring in wild fowl but it is very common with domesticated fowl in the towns here in Zambia I have even seen some that are totally white but look like a guinea physically.

Just wait until Walter's plans come to fruitation! He is planning on crossing the guinea fowl with an ostrich! He prefers guinea fowl to ostrich, and thinks he can have his problem solved that way.

At the risk of sounding like a putz, that's a cute little fellow! P.S. Was Walter taking it's food, while distracting it? That could cause such a reaction.

What are the little ones eating at that age Saeed? I'm curious what you feed your carnivores...some kind of meat product...horse meat? _______________________________

The crocs eat anything we throw at them. The larger cheetahs eat whole chickens, and the babies eat minced meat.

Saeed, Please don't forget to share the photos of Walter's attempt to inseminate a female ostrich. Please do not share any visual record of Walter's mission to "milk" a male guinea fowl for its seed. Come to think of it, did Walter's great plan arise after he was discovered in a "delicate" situation with a male guinea fowl? SCI Life Member DSC Life Member
