For the last two weeks I have not been able to get on the internet because the motem died and I lost internet service. That motem was 20 years old so I suppose it was a good one to last that long. It took two weeks to get a new one, and three days on the phone to get back on line!

I suppose at my age I must be led by hand to get this contraption working again. With a pile of help from my provider on the phone I am finally back on line, That may not be good news to many here but I was tired of using my computer to play solitaire, and simply look at old pictures stored in my lap top!

Good to see you back.

"The budget should be balanced, the Treasury should be refilled, public debt should be reduced, the arrogance of officialdom should be tempered and controlled, and the assistance to foreign lands should be curtailed lest Rome become bankrupt. “It is not from the benevolence of the butcher, the brewer, or the baker, that we expect our dinner, but from their regard to their own self-interest. We address ourselves, not to their humanity but to their self-love, and never talk to them of our own necessities but of their advantages.”

Ain't it so! Especially for those of us that aren't very tech savvy.

Indeed!
My much used and reliable Windows 7 computers both failed in a short period of time and I am just now breaking in a new W10 laptop.
My desktop was knocked out by lightening and my laptop by me spilling coffee on the keyboard.

It will take a while to rebuild all my contact list, but at least my internet access is OK and I have a basic email capability working.

Curses and foul words!
