I hunted buffalo, plains game and elephant booked through Russ on two different safaris. He's been here and hunted with me in California too. He's a good guy, I doubt you'll get any bad feedback about him.

Hunted buffalo with Russ Broom Safaris in July of 2007. We were on his concession around Binga, Zim (2 mil acres). Difficult hunt, wind was maddening, up and down valleys, long hikes, etc. Worth every penny.

ozshooter,

I hunted with them for 14 days in September, 2006. I hunted mostly in the Muchesu(sp?) hunting area. I know that several folks who post here have had fine hunts with them, but my hunt was disappointing. I was able to shoot a nice buffalo, but we saw very little game. The locals were moving into the hunting areas big time. We saw people in our hunting area every day and had several leopard baits stolen. I don't know what the conditions are like in his other areas, but things were going downhill fast where I hunted.

I just booked my first hunt with him. Hope it turns out OK. I checked about 4 or 5 references first.

I hunted with him for Buff in 2005. Hunted with Rory Muil. First class all the way. I doubt you could do better.

I have hunted five times with RBS in Zim and Zambia. Always got what I paid for and more. Be aware that the tribal areas in Zim dont have much in the way of plainsgame left. For elephant, buffalo and leopard the areas are still good. I have a hunt booked for august of this year.
