Why a 9.3?

Surely better to go for a 375 H&H or 416 Rifby so it's legal for DG anywhere in Africa and ammo is more easily available.

The .500 is my own carry rifle and the .404 is a loaner that gets used by clients and I use very occasionally.

Agreed, except the 9.3 might be cheaper to buy.
