Who knew that my favorite Tracks Across Africa episode would be the one without a shot being fired? The episode about young Andy MacDonald was the best put together piece they've done. (And Dave, you weren't too bad yourself.) The music was mixed superbly - not too overpowering. And the elephants crossing the river shots reminded me of seeing a very similar thing on the Zambezi, with Gibbo and a friend who's also passed, right after I'd shot my first Impala. I knew right then I'd always come back.
Well done.
I agree that the show was interesting and enjoyable, but at times the "background" music overpowered the dialogue. I also have this issue with some sports broadcasts where they mix in crowd noise, so I know I have a hearing issue, but I imagine others over 50 might too.
I love the show, just wanted to give that feedback.
