We had our Allegheny Mt SCI Ch banquet last night and raised $25,000-$30,000. I was lucky and won a Kimber 300 short mag., but the best part was we presented two young men with shoulder mts of their Whitetail's taken on our Safari Wish hunt last fall. The hunts were filmed and shown on Expedition Safari on 11-22-10. The two young men are wheelchair bound and they were so happy receiving their mounts. There were not many dry eyes in the crowd. Bash SCI if you will but last night was just great. It makes the year long project so worth it and not too shabby for about 8 people to put togeather. Have a great day, I know I will. tu2 Smiler

Great work mate and thanks for reporting. It seems that just about every SCI chapter I visit or hear about has one program or another like this running!!

Ed: Great work from your SCI chapter !!!
However, sorry to hear you won one of those miserable Kimber rifles. Probably the bottom of the heap when it comes to firearms. So, to help you out, bring it down to me next January when we go to Dallas, & I'll reluctantly give you a couple hundred dollars for it so it doesn't clutter up your gun safe & you'll at least feel like you won something. Just doing it because I kinda like you.

DOJ - Congrats on the your successful SCI Chapter fundrasier and winning the rifle as well. It's amazing how much money is rasised by SCI Chapters Worldwide and used LOCALLY to better hunting and wildlife conservation. Something the naysayers and SCI bashers will never get to experience. Keep up the good work.
