monsterAny Suggestions
On a good handgun to deer or hog hunt with.
thanks
Down SouthTry a 44 magnum in one of the longer barreled versions. Smith makes a good one as does Ruger.

Fred GordonMonster,
KWTX has excellent suggestions. I don't think you can go wrong with either. My neighbor has had good success with the Ruger but the gunsmith I use swears the Dan Wesson revolver is the most accurate, to the point it can rival the bolt action models.

arkypeteI think this will depend on your tolerance for recoil.
Personally I use a 45 Colt in most instances. A Smith and Wesson model 25 for deer using lighter hand loads. A Colt Anaconda with heavier hand loads using 300 grain cast bullets does nicely. And for real romping stomping loads the Ruger Blackhawk or Redhawk with balls to the wall handloads.
