I don't believe that you can import them. I am surprised you can even shoot them.

Black faced impala are listed as endangered under the US Endangered Species Act. John Jackson of Conservation Force has an "enhancement" program in place. You would have to check with him to see how successful they have been on getting approval for import of the trophies into the US. Thanks guys. Actually they are fairly plentifull on many of the ranches in Namibia. No problem shooting one. I didnt know if getting it back was a different story though. They are certainly beautifull animals. I will have to contact the conservation force to see what is going on. I might as well ask about cheetahs as well although I hold little or no hope for that one. Too much emotion and politics and too little fact. I wonder if as a US citizen I could bring it to a property in Canada and leave it there? I dont get it. WE are a member of cites yet we choose to ignore the sections we want. "We" being the US govt. Mike, I do know of a couple that were lawfully imported into the US as T.Carr indicated (through John Jackson of the Conservation Force). It's a slow process and costs a couple hundred bucks, but can be done.
