For all you warthog lovers !
Some nice photos of some nice hogs we took on recent trip. 10th June to 28th June 2007. The big ones are always found on luck a lot of walking in the veldt gives you a bigger chance. And when the PH says "Shoot, shoot, shoot, shoot" Dont ask any questiopn and blast I know "C-F Stolt" Kalle knows excatly what I'm talking about.

CChunter, with an old hog but small tusks.

C-F Stolt, with his pig he had to shoot in a hurry and what a great reward. We heard him grunt and all I could see is his body size and a nice tusk sticking out he ran and stopped at 40 meters away not sure what we were and luckily Kalle didnt waste time to shoot.

I always try to use enough gun but then sometimes a brainshot works just as good.

All in the Alldays Tolwe area in Limpopo province. The big ones were all bagged on walks.

"Peace is that brief glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading" - Thomas Jefferson

Every morning the Zebra wakes up knowing it must outrun the fastest Lion if it wants to stay alive. Every morning the Lion wakes up knowing it must outrun the slowest Zebra or it will starve. It makes no difference if you are a Zebra or a Lion; when the Sun comes up in Africa, you must wake up running......

"If you're being chased by a Lion, you don't have to be faster than the Lion, you just have to be faster than the person next to you."

You have some great pigs there. I have to admit that I really enjoyed hunting warthogs. It is a lot of fun!

Safari-Hunt,

That is a nice way to look at the world when you want to forget the huzzle and buzzle of life. I take it that these gents are the Swedes that come every year to South Africa.

What calibers do they shoot with and what bullets (Norma or others) do they bring along and how do they perform?

I believe the big guy is making hunting DVD's and would they be available here locally?

Warrior,

Not all the clients pictured above are Swedes and some of them are in Africa hunting for their first time. Yes, CChunter is busy with another production and the two first ones are directly avalaible from me if you want.

Then bullets used were accubonds, oryx and rhino as far as I can remember. Kalle used my 375 and CChunters 9.3 x 62 to kill his animals. Both using rhino. The croc and hippo was shot with rhino solid for croc and soft for hippo with solids as backup not needed.
