Post his name. Part of how you should judge anyone you do business with is how they treat you after they have your money.

Yeah, theres other guys that post here who hunted with him last year and based on three e-mails I've got, in the past few weeks, they haven't got thier trophies either. Maybe they'll come forth. I hate to slam the PH, he was a great guy to hunt with and we really enjoyed the time we spent with him but the fact remains its been a year and he has yet to follow through.

Before everyone jumps on the bandwagon to criticize this ph, they should learn a few things about trophy export in Namibia.

Namibia can be one of the fastest countries to receive your trophies from. I have heard of people taking their trophies with them as they left. (not common, but in certain circumstances, it is possible.) Sometimes they will show up in 3-5 months time.

Namibia can also take a long time. If you hunt on the wrong side of the vet control fence, your trophies must "jump through" many more hoops before export. One of which is a mandatory quarantine. There are other government papers and meetings with vet clearance agents that are not required for the majority of the game ranches in Namibia.

July and August are busy times for these guys. Consider that you hunted with a small, professional hunting outfit that operates in a remote area, and you can understand why you would not get your trophies as fast as guys that hunt in SA or on a game ranch within shooting distance of Windhoek.

You should also understand that once it is delivered to the shipping agent it can still take a month to show up in the US.

(BTW - I was not the agent on this hunt)

Wendell is NOT the booking agent on this hunt, I booked the hunt with the PH. In fact Wendell has known about the problem and has tried to help. Wendell even made a phone call to the PH trying to clear this up, after he and I talked about this.

Wendell I'm sure what your saying is true but I know guys how hunted in 02 with this same PH, same area and had their trophies in 6 months. Some of them post here also.

Who was the PH? Maybe there are other AR members waiting just like you and as a group you could exert more pressure for him to get the job done. Gary T.

"Post his name."

Sure it would be easy to type his name for all the world to see but the problem is I still kind of like the guy and hope he'll come through. At this point I hate to slam him and didn't start this to point fingers, I just wanted to see if I was being unreasonable, thinking a year plenty of time. Based on the e-mails I've got most people don't wait near this long for trophies from Namibia, so I'd say I've been more than fair. Whats the answer? I'm not sure. You tell me what you've done or would do.
