This is a touchy subject as there is a court case looming on the horizon.

All our clients trophies has now left Big Buck, so we feel it important to post the following to stop others from stepping into the same hole.

All our clients from 2009 that used the Dip and Ship service of Big Buck taxidermy got there trophies in a horrible state. Some are here from AR, and out of respect to us, have not posted anything to date.

On inquiry about what happened to the skins and sculls (hairslipped, broken and full of buggs) the ball was thrown back to us saying it is field prep. This was after they confirmed, in writing, that every trophy was received in good order. Anyone who has hunted with us will know it is not field preperation that can be blamed.

We started using them in 2008 when one of the owners hunted for me as a freelance PH. We nevergot a complaint from 2008 clients, but all the stuff was mainly mounted.

In the mean time we have found out a lot of damaging info on the company, and will assist all our clients who wants to take legal action.

To this date we have not had as much as a peep out of them to make ANY moves of recourse for our clients losses.

To all our clients here on AR that are affected by this, thank you for staying patient. I wish I could offer an apology for referring your trophies to them, safe to say "if only I knew"

Frederik will forward all relevant info to you as soon as possible.

So, be careful of these guys. If your PH or Outfitter even mention their name, respectfuly decline.

I now give clients two options. One is Trophy Service Studio. for clients that wants to save a couple of bucks, and the other, my favorite, is Life Form Taxidermy.

From our side, this is a statement and not a discussion. Remember, there is a court case looming.

For what it's worth, I lost 5 of my own trophies with them, one a 6" duiker. It simply dissapeared.

Steve,
send them all a copy of Kruger's CD on proper treatment in field, in skinning shed and by taxidermist (COD, of course).

Tom,

They can buy it here: http://www.shakariconnection.c...ng-trophies-dvd.html

I reckon every hunter should see this DVD before they ever set foot in Africa.

I've been in the business for over 30 years and served my time the bloody hard way........ including sitting in the skinning shed at 0300 am with a torch in my mouth skinning a bushbuck..... but even I learned a lot from watching it! tu2

When I killed my really oustanding Serval in Zululand, Kruger insisted on skinning himself to make sure it was treated and handled correctly----not the next day, but that morning....I stayed up with him til almost 4a.m. drinking Windhoek Import and "supervising"....he is dead on serious about doing it right to preserve one's trophy!
The CD should be required viewing by PH's, outfitters, guides, taxidermist and hunters!
And Kruger is a damn fine taxidermist in his own right!

Dead right...... I reckon it's one of the best and most informative DVDs I've ever watched...... and as you say, if every outfitter, PH & skinner saw it, most trophies would be sooooo much better!
