Kudu envy??? just go for the crown jewel of Africa, and get it over with...SABLE!!!!

I thought I wanted a kudu, until I saw the Sable...Unless you have one.

AK,

Have to disagree, mate. I have a Sable from Zim and it was a good hunt, but a big Kudu bull is more of a challenge, I reckon.

And my crown jewel is a Lord Derby Eland. Smiler

And a big Bongo.

And a Roan..................................

I'm with AKsheephunter. I'm in awe of big kudu, but sable for the moment is numero uno.

Once on the wall however, I've never seen a sable look as good as a kudu. The kudu is regal. The sable looks goofy. If someone has a sharp looking sable, post it. I don't have to see kudu. I know how mine looked before and after.

Don't get me wrong, I love the kudu, But the Sable to me is the absolute crown jewel, of course theres a significant price in trophy fees between the two, and every year I have seen the price of Sable go up, I know you can hunt them cheaper in other countries in Africa, as we discussed in the other threads, I don't think the numbers of Sable, are as big as Kudu either...like I said, get one while you can, at least for what it cost now.
