Video is here : http://www.weatherbyrifler.com...=section_view&idev=5

The files name is Joakim in Africa

Finally!!

This year I was able to finally bring my son with me to South-Africa. He is now 16 and more than ready to try out hunting in Africa with me.

Joakim has been with me hunting moose, caribou and smallgame since he was 6, and has hunted “small game” (with shotgun)by him self for some years now, and got his own rifle last year.

Joakim on a moosehunt. 10 years old.

Joakim and one of his kills. Age 14.

And finaly...

Joakim with his first African game ever!. Nice duiker.

Joakim and blesbok.. Shot at 319 yards. And i got it on video!!

And heres Joakim and his first warthog. Not a huge one, but his first. And he did the hunting and stalking all by him self!!

Yes. I AM proud!!VIDEO

Rhyme of the Sheep Hunter
May fordings never be too deep, And alders not too thick; May rock slides never be too steep And ridges not too slick.
And may your bullets shoot as swell As Fred Bear's arrow's flew; And may your nose work just as well As Jack O'Connor's too.
May winds be never at your tail When stalking down the steep; May bears be never on your trail When packing out your sheep.
May the hundred pounds upon you Not make you break or trip; And may the plane in which you flew Await you at the strip.

Father and son hunts are special... good looking young man you are raising!

On the plains of hesitation lie the bleached bones of ten thousand, who on the dawn of victory lay down their weary heads resting, and there resting, died.

If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with Kings - nor lose the common touch...
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And - which is more - you'll be a Man, my son!
- Rudyard Kipling

Good Lad and a good start - however, a word of caution: as a principle, avoid posing with your rifle pointing in your direction.

daleW. Im so sorry, but i dont know the english word (name) of this bird.
Maby one of my Norwegian friends here can help me?

You will all be able to download video of Joakim hunting Africa in a few days.

Someone has said that you are lucky to have such a fine son but I will say that your son is very lucky to have such a nice old man. You both are lucky, great to see you both enjoy together.

"Peace is that brief glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading" - Thomas Jefferson

Every morning the Zebra wakes up knowing it must outrun the fastest Lion if it wants to stay alive. Every morning the Lion wakes up knowing it must outrun the slowest Zebra or it will starve. It makes no difference if you are a Zebra or a Lion; when the Sun comes up in Africa, you must wake up running......

great stuff!
They grow up so darn quickly, blink, and they are no longer little boys, but men in their own right.
I took my boy to get his drivers learners licence this morning. Seems like yesterday he was on his first bird hunt with me at age 10, and hunted his first blesbuck at 11.
it should be a required right of passage.
Again, great stuff clap

Yes collector, I am. But the thing is that Joakim is my son. He has been with me hunting for years, and it has been like he isn’t only my son anymore. Joakim has become some sort of a friend. We share an important thing in our life, and this brings us closer than just a father/son "thing"
Joakim is one of my best friends ever.

Thanks 505. There are some impressive duikers in this area. Here is one I shot last year only 200 meters from where Joakim shot his.
