I bid you a fond farewell
I bid you a fond farewell
My friends,
The time has come to pack my sea bag and to deploy with the United States Navy again. This will be my 6th major deployment in my naval career and we depart early next week. Destination this time is the Black Sea area which is kind of interesting since it is one of the few places in the world I haven't been to yet.
I wish you all well and hope the summer finds you and your families safe and sound. Shoot often, shoot well, keep the powder dry and the fires lit. I will be back on the forums sometime this fall.
Until Then. Cheers
Mac

I hope you'll be topside when you pass Istanbul or maybe even get some liberty there. I've always thought it was one of the amazing places in the world and having only seen it in National Geographic, etc., I'm envious. All my time was in WestPac so I can only tell you about the beauties of Ologapo....

I thank you and Semper Fi.

Mac: Godspeed to you, shipmate. I have 8 under my belt and hopefully I'm DONE! You must be on a small ship as we had full internet access on all the CVs since 98. jorge

Thanks for the sacrifices you make for our country, God bless and God speed.

Your post reminds me of the two 6 month cruises "deployments" I took many years ago on board the USS INDEPENDENCE, so I sort of know what you have done and what you will be doing.
Have a safe trip.
MAC,
Thank you for your service and I wish you a safe return.
