Shot quite a big one in the Bangweulu quite a few years ago. They offer a very interesting and unique hunt. I would not mind doing it again.

Yes, a fair amount, in Zambia. Once as a client and a number of times as an appy. It's my second favorite animal to hunt, after buffalo. What would you like to know?

The top Sitatunga areas are Tondwa with Johnny DuPlooy, Lunga Luswishi with Richard Bell Cross and Shiwa Ngandu with Charlie Harvey.

Note the best Sitatunga come out of Lunga Luswishi and the northern Kafue Concessions. Here is a photo of Richard Bell Cross and the new world record.

Bangweulu is now marginal.

That is a truly spectacular sitatunga Andrew. Thanks for posting that picture. What year was that taken?

I shot mine in the bangweulu nine years ago with Pete Swanepoel jnr, there's photos of it and our camp in the swamps on his Safaribwana website. They are a great hunt and I'm glad I did it when I had the chance. I've got a photo of the the mount on my website, biggameartistry.co.nz

Yes, twice. The first in Zambia with Pete Fisher, saw several, shot a good one.
The second time in Cameroon - a leopard got mine after hunting it several days. A very tough but fun hunt.

Uganda is a newly opened country that has good sitatunga hunting. I believe Tanzania has good ones well. Andrew Baldry who posts here offers a sitatunga hunt too.
