Hi Folks, Pierre' and Anneli were kind enough to send me a copy of all the pictures they took along with a copy of the video. Terry Carr graciously said he would post the pictures for me as soon as he has time, I was going to try to explain each picture but let me make it simple, my kudu might not be as big a representative animal as some of the other trophies but he is for sure my favorite!!! We ended up with 12 animals on a 10 day hunt and we really hunted hard. We would get up at 5 and start hunting by 6, take a break between 11 and 1 and then hunt until it got dark at 6. We actually saw another kudu that Pierre' said would go 58 inches but it came 50 yards too short and then we saw this guy a couple minutes after and he was the same one I spotted before we were interupted by the 58 incher! I like mine better! The duiker was a complete surprise, we were set up for impala and waiting for this huge ram to cross the track when this fellow came trotting towards us and Pierre' said he was really, really good which in Pierre' Van Tonder language means he's gargantuan and he was! Anyhow, I just wanted to get this thread started, I'll add more after Terry Carr does his magic. Joe | ||

Congratulations - nice trophies - and having seen your video - nice shooting too. I like the scenic hunting area and especially the cool weather. Hunting in hot weather just doesn't seem right. I might add that Pierre does some plainsgame hunts in Kwa Zulu natal from about March to about mid June, This was Goosejoes beginner, now we got him! ...Pierre called me and said he really enjoyed Goosejoe. Cost is $250 per day 1x1 plus trophy fees, $210. per day 2x1...He shoots some real nice trophy quality game...After June 15 he leaves for Tanzania and hunts there until Nov what ever....He also can do elephant hunts in Botswana if given plenty of time to work out a time schedule... If your interrested then get hold of me right away as there are only a limited number of hunts we can do with Pierre guiding...He has an associate that can take over when he is gone to Tanzania, and Pierre boy is now a PH and will start in RSA and work his way up to a Big 5 PH under Pierres guidence, who is a task master btw...
