Just got off the phone with Alistair from Zambezi Hunters. Sango has all of its permits for hunting, so my buff hunt is still on. Got worried, but currently everything looks good to go. I didn't talk long or ask him a update on the rest of the Save, as the Skype connection to Zim phone wasn't great, but one area is at least operating.

On another note...

570 Grain TSX's are touching at 25 yards (offhand) out of my Krieghoff chambered in .500 NE, 50 yards they are spaced a few inches apart off sticks and still holding steady out a bit farther in distance with their standard open sites, the Kimber Caprivi in .375 H&H is still shooting better than me at further distances. After 20+ rounds a week out of the .500 (plus add more for the .375) my cheek and shoulder are thankful that the hunt is almost here.....Now just gotta keep the nerves at bay...

Mink and Wall Tents don't go together. Especially when you are sleeping in the Wall Tent.

SB:
That is consistent with what I have been told. I am a bit concerned as I continually see Will's name in press accounts. I hope things do not change.

When are you going? I leave 9/29 I think.

It is a fantastic place. I was there last year. I hear that drought conditions exist with little grass available.

Hey, SB. Long time no see. Good luck with the 500NE. It will be fun.

"The budget should be balanced, the Treasury should be refilled, public debt should be reduced, the arrogance of officialdom should be tempered and controlled, and the assistance to foreign lands should be curtailed lest Rome become bankrupt. “It is not from the benevolence of the butcher, the brewer, or the baker, that we expect our dinner, but from their regard to their own self-interest. We address ourselves, not to their humanity but to their self-love, and never talk to them of our own necessities but of their advantages.”
