I am trying to work up a load for my 375 H&H. I have a Blaser R93 with a 375 H&H standard contour barrel. I am interested in gathering opinions about which bullets seem to work well in this gun. I am thinking of using the 300gr. North Fork, but have not tested it yet. Any advice would greatly be appreciated. In my R 93, I use RL-15 and 300 grain Hornady FMJs or BTSPs. I get about 1 inch groups at 100 yards with the FMJs and about 1.5 inch groups with the BTSPs. At 100 yards using the same charge of RL-15, they both hit in pretty much the same place.

I've used both Swift A-Frames and TBBCs in mine. Both shoot very well in my Blaser.

I get great results with the 260 grain Nosler Accubond (for plainsgame) and the Barnes TSX in 270 or 300 grain. The 300 grainers will shoot almost a one hole group. I am currently working on a 350 grain Woodleigh soft point load. The jury is out yet, but this will be my choice for next years safari. TJB

I found this load very accurate in my Blaser: 74 grains of RL 15 and 270 grain TSX for a MV of 2804 fps. Have yet to try this on game but am well pleased with the accuracy of this load.

I have used Hirtenberger ABCs, Trophy Bonded Bear Claws, Trophy Bonded Sledgehammer Solids, Nosler Partitions, Swift A-Frames, Barnes Xs, Woodleighs, North Forks and a bunch of standard cup and core soft points, and all have been very accurate in my .375 H&H Mag. Blaser R93, which also has a standard contoured barrel. I could have saved time by telling you which bullets I have tried that have not shot well in my rifle: None. I have lately settled on the Hirtenberger ABCs and North Forks, however. Mike Wilderness is my cathedral, and hunting is my prayer.

Try 67.0 gr of RL15 behind 350 gr Woodleighs. My experience is that if you use the Protected Point soft, you probably don't need solids. Your mileage may vary. Have gun- Will travel The value of a trophy is computed directly in terms of personal investment in its acquisition. Robert Ruark
