You should not have any problems ! Either dip and pack or mounts . Talk to your outfitter . He is ultimately responsible for your trophies till they leave the country of export . Ask him upfront who he is using and do research on the company .

Happy Hunting !!

Fort Huff:
Alaska is all I have experience with. Because of your title, I post here. Have your trophies sent "IN BOND" to Alaska. If not, they will be cleared at their port of entry and you'll have to hire an agent to do so as well as send them off to you.

For in bond, when they get to Anchorage you will be contacted by the shipping company. You will collect the paperwork there and proceed to customs and to Fish and Wildlife (maybe Agriculture, too). F&W will then go to the shopper with you and do what they do to release the items to you. With baboons and pigs, they will have to be collected by a licensed taxidermist for boiling. Only then can you take possession. Knights Taxidermy or Alpha Fur Dressers can do this for you.

I've had 3 crates shipped directly from RSA to Anchorage with no problems at all. In each instance, Knights Taxidermy picked up the shipment and cleared the crate. They did not do the taxidermy work, but put the crate on a truck to Fairbanks. Totally pain free process with no hassle at all.

Fort Huff,

I recommend D&C. 907-344-9719 or 406-560-5569. They are part of Atcheson Taxidermy and I've done business with them for 20 years. Shawn at D&C will take good care of you.
