The Central PA gang minus a few had our semi regular gathering and shoot on Saturday. We beat the storm, well not really!! I am sure the whole valley wondered what was up as the big bores roared. Keith et al, Contributing the photos and videos we took of our annual get together. It was a good time and we had fun despite Mother Nature raining down on us. A big Thank You to you and Rena for hosting our event. The new range was well designed and was fun to “sort out” the charging buffalo. Paul and Cindy Our host-Dulcinea “Mrs Dulcinea” and “Mrs Retreever” Retreever-Always the Teacher! Retreever-“You see kids…the buffalo was within 10 yard when I let him have both barrels!” Plenty of good food Pre shoot warm up Clayman and girlfriend Kelly Retreever’s ….retriever! “Papa Dulcinea” Let the shooting begin Joe gets instruction on proper use of the double by Mike Preparing for his first shot with a double… Here we go! That wasn’t so bad! “Victim” number 2 Even girls can shoot doubles with proper instruction…see the video Paul cuts loose with the Ruger #1 45-70 MVR and his 470 Nitro Spectator Chicks Joe and the Ruger #1 45-70 Dulcinea and his elephant gun…416 Rem In full recoil A partial lineup of the big bores Paul and his Rigby Shot #2 Mike tries his hand at a bolt gun… Where is the second trigger???? Give me a real rifle! Joe and his first handling of the Rigby Initiation into the world of big bores!!! Keith and the Rigby Clayman preps his “pipsqueak” 340 Wea Father, Son and Guns…nothing better! Storm clouds on the way! Our charging buffalo…good job on the range setup Keith! Retreever nailed him Scoring the targets for the grand prize Photo record MVR is the competition winner! Those are a reasonable facsimile of Butch Begno's safari pants from last year when a charging buf hooked him and took him for a ride. You can see who won takes a beating but keeps on ticking. Mike | |||
