| I've been using the woodleigh for 2 or 3 years now in my .500, and they have performed brilliantly....... I've also seen some dreadful failures of the Trophy Bonded. Last year one of my clients shot an Eland with one (375 H&H) and it fishtailed like a banana and failed to exit. Having seen that, I'd be very reluctant to use one on an Elephant. : But that's just one man's opinion. |

| I also like the Woodleigh PSP on Buffalo. I used one last year on a Buff that was running away at a slight angle to me and I put the bullet just off centre of a texas heart shot. The impact spun the Buffalo 180 degrees and (luckily? ) dropped him like a sack of coal, we found the bullet had penetrated the entire length of the body and came to rest at the front of the chest cavity...... weight retention was around 88%......that'll do for me. |

| I love the Woodleigh bullets and have been using the softs and solids for near a decade, but for solids, if your gun will feed them then you cannot beat the flat nose solids as made by Bridger Bullet Company in the USA and GS Customs in RSA....They simply kill much better than a round nose solid and penitrate deeper and strighter..
I am firmly converted to the FN solids, and the more I use them the less I have been using softs for everything including plainsgame.... |
