Don't hold your breath of any meaningful change at SCI. Out of Africa had a top man in management in their pockets. Wild Africa is trying to do precisely the same with someone who is aspiring to be in a top position at SCI.

Saeed, can you be more specific with names concerning this statement? Thanks.

Yes, Saeed. Please be specific. Earlier, you said an SCI employee was involved. Now you say there also is someone in line for an important leadership role. Sounds like quite a conspiracy. This thread led me to give its address to someone at SCI who can keep known scumbags from exhibiting and advertising. If Wild Africa will be on the exhibition floor, he was unaware of it. If you do not want to mention names publicly, please PM me and I will pass your information on to him. Trust me, he can and will do something about it if the situation is as bad as you say. One thing about organizations like SCI is that leadership changes every year. Whatever power Out of Africa's lawyer once had has been greatly diminished. Bill Quimby

Can anyone confirm if Green Miles Safaris from Tanzania are SCI members? When I try to surf SCI's website it appears all scrambled up! "...Them, they were Giants!" J.A. Hunter describing the early explorers and settlers of East Africa hunting is not about the killing but about the chase of the hunt.... Ortega Y Gasset

They are registered outfitters and were allocated blocks. "...Them, they were Giants!" J.A. Hunter describing the early explorers and settlers of East Africa hunting is not about the killing but about the chase of the hunt.... Ortega Y Gasset

Larry/ Saeed Firstly I think Larry's message is the most critical one this decade for hunters , the anti hunters have increased their effort a thousand fold and their successes are mounting , this is not a time for hunting clubs to divide but to unite and stand firm , my personal opinion is hunting is on the slippery slope to the end , unless every single hunter becomes involved , every hunter man's up and becomes a soldier in this fight , it is no longer a case of being politicaly correct and being an observer. SCI remains the number one trophy hunting organization in the world, if we as hunters break it we will do a great disservice to hunting , I have been a very vocal member and have run the risk of being banned or side lined but I can assure you they have been very tolerant of my criticism, and to the best of my knowledge there is no apple orchard in the world that does not have the odd bad apple. Let's voice our concerns within our circle and not publicly. Saeed yes SCI needs to shake things up and root out the problem children , but unless someone like you who can organize thousands of signatures becomes a active player , there will be no opposition , I understand you do not wish to be seen to use the AR platform for political or any other causes but , maybe now is the time to mobilize the numbers to make changes , by referendum of course.. For reference you may wish to visit the New Zealand Herald where I and a client have faced the same onslaught that Bachman did , we like any similar situation needed the back up of the millions of hunters. By keeping quiet the anti hunters gain ground daily.
