I'm curious as to what and where you can do a self-catering hunt. I'm not talking about on your own hunting without a PH just you supply your own supplies etc..It would reduce the cost.

I personally don't need to be pampered. I will be out in the bush most of the time. I know how to make a sandwich.

Anybody know any places? If so list them if you can.

We offer just such a hunt in Zululand (as an option). We provide camp (tented with outdoor shower and proper flush WC), camp attendant, outdoor kitchen with gas appliances including deep freeze and refrigerator, crockery, cutlery etc. You do your own cooking. Camp attendant cleans up in the morning and makes the fire/fires the boiler in the evenings. I can highly recommend it...gives one something to do in the evenings and saves a bunch of money (Daily rate is only $195 plus observers at $75). You stock up en route from the airport at Richard's Bay. Trophy prices are pretty skinny too...eg Impala $225, Warthog $175. Very big Nyala have been taken every year off this property. See http://networkretailing.com/marksafaris.htm for details.
