Anybody have thoughts on a good B&B with airport pickup in Harare?

I do not know about airport pickup but we (the folks on the dugga boy hunt) stayed at Amanzi Lodge. It is very, very nice and the food was outstanding.

You could also get ahold of Sally with the Sunbird Guest house. Nice accomodations, great food.

Sally at Sunbird Guest House gets my vote, spent time there both before and after a recent safari. Great place.

Sally works for the Zimbabwe Professional Hunters and Guides Association and has a better understanding than most of hunter's needs. Her contact e-mail is sunbird@mweb.co.zw and land line in Harare (+263-4) 702402. She will do airport runs and even shopping sprees if needed. Hope that helps.

Another recommendation for Sally and Sunbird Guest Houses. I stayed in two different homes this past June. Great accomodations, food and service. Sally is a great host and lady! She also aranged pick-up from the airport and drop-off on the return. Can't go wrong!

Does anybody know if Harrington House (or House Harrington) is still operating in Harare. I stayed there a couple of years back. It was very nice and offered airport pickup.

Small World Backpackers.....not fancy by any stretch of the imagination, but the place was clean, in a nice area, and the beer was ice cold. Money I saved payed for an extra day in the bush. WORTH IT!

The past couple of years I have stayed at Sunbird Guest House upon my late night arrival in Harare. $70 per night including breakfast plus $40 airport pickup. Nice clean place for a quick overnight. Small and confining.

While not a B&B, I have stayed at the Bronte for the past 2 years after the hunt. About $125 per night excluding meals. $30 cab ride to the airport. Two nice restaurants on the grounds, beautiful place! This May, completed my hunt a day early so spent 2 nights at the Bronte. Very satisfied!

Hope this helps.

Another vote for Sally and Sunbird Guest House. Stayed there both before and after my safari in Chirisa this month. Pick-up/drop-off at the airport, good food and service.
