Saeed; My apologies if I've posted this on the wrong Forum.

On the Rhodesian Bush War. Clearly some causes, however lost are worth fighting-and dying- for. A friend of mine, Johnny Vivier of Wintershoek Safaris turned me onto this.
It's fantastic but unfortunately nearly impossible to find. Proceeds go to the Selous Scouts Association in return for copies of our late Col. Ron Reid Daly superb book The Men Speak, plus a signed SS certificate giving thanks for your support towards a great cause to help former members who are in need. I highly recommend it. If interested, please PM me for details.

I see it for sale in just about any bookstore in RSA or Namibia. Unbelievable read. Is this a hardcover edition?

Great book. Unfortunately, I loaned my copy to someone and it's another one that didn't come home.

I was in Fiji after my Afghanistan deployment. In our bungalow there was a copy of "Pamwe Chete." Immediately was hook after reading just a few pages. The book made its way to the U.S. where I finished reading it. Have read the entire book three times. Such a great book I can't get enough. Our second trip to RSA and my PH parents were from Rhodesia. He told me they escaped with only a few clothes and their wedding album.

I think I'll have to pick this book up. Question. Is there a cut off date?

I have had the pleasure of hunting with a couple of ex-Koevets. A memorable experience, and such gentlemen, one would not think capable of the deeds performed. Truly an honor.

We know a red-headed (at least used to be Wink) one well.

Another good book on the Selous Scouts is , Shadows in an African Twilight, by Kevin Thomas. Kevin was a Selous Scout and eventually became a PH in South Africa. The book is back out and I believe on Amazon. He also has 3 others out, which I have read 2 of. One new one isn't technically out yet. I understand these will be available as e-books also. Kevin NOW lives in the UK. He was my PH during a hunt in 2011.
