Someone here wrote that he liked poems. I could not believe it!
A poem on AR.
Well I immediately knew that I was in the presence of a kindred spirit when I read that. I love poetry. I read poetry. I write poetry. I breath poetry.

I have a poem for everything.

As I am going to hunt female cape buffalo pretty soon I will lay one on ya' here.

This is the first two verses of a Kipling poem. Enjoy!

Rudyard Kipling (1865-1936)
The Female of the Species

When the Himalayan peasant meets the he-bear in his pride,
He shouts to scare the monster, who will often turn aside.
But the she-bear thus accosted rends the peasant tooth and nail.
For the female of the species is more deadly than the male.

When Nag the basking cobra hears the careless foot of man,
He will sometimes wriggle sideways and avoid it if he can.
But his mate makes no such motion where she camps beside the trail.
For the female of the species is more deadly than the male.

I seem to recall another Canadian poster who is a master at cow buffalo hunting. Perhaps he will share some pointers with you about how to face up to the dangers involved....A careful search in the hunt report section even has a video he posted of how to survive the ordeal. rotflmo
