Here's a picture I just had e-mailed to me. I believe it is the buffalo you refer to. 'Sorry, but I don't know who any of the gentlemen are in the picture. Congratulations to all anyway.

Hunting actually has been very good on the Save with one client of Johnathan's taking a tremendous lion that would be a beaut anywhere, a 42.5" buff with 16" boss and a big leopard. Mokore continues to do well and has bought more quota for '08.
Nobody can predict the political situation in Zim but the hunting is excellent with good operators.

HunterJimThere are some really big buff in the Save'. I shot a 44" buff there in 2002 hunting with Shangaan Hunters; it scored 120" and got the largest buff award for them that year at the ZPHGA award dinner. I saw three larger bulls that I estimated in the 45" to 48" range.
There is a game fence around the exterior boundary of the Conservancy's million acres; I don't think you will see it except for going and coming.

The Save was completely fenced on the exterior boundary only. Now the fence on the south is down so I guess you can call it fenced or not. Whatever you like. In my experience there and my client's none of them felt the fence to be of any issue at all. You simply don't see it. The fence itself is not the high fence high tech fencing you will see in RSA or Namibia but a natural wood and wire affair that is of little notice.

L. David KeithDW, don't see Jonny in this photo. As David H says, PH was Rex. Hunter was Bob Mears. He took this huge Buff just a few weeks ago. Jonny guided Joe Pedersen to a great Lion. Lots of great trophies are coming out of Zim this season. I leave on Saturday.

David
